Meet the Neighbors
New Albany is connected to its neighbors via primary transportation routes that include US Route 78, State Highway 15, and Highway 30. The closest neighbors to New Albany, less than 20 minutes away include the communities of Myrtle, Ecru, and Tupelo. Each offers residential homes and apartments with subtle variations in convenience and quality of living.
Myrtle: is a small countryside town of little over 400 residents; it lies west of New Albany, and only 13 minutes away. To find a house rent to rent in this town will take more effort than it would for a bigger community.
Ecru: is a little bigger town, twice the size of the town of Myrtle, located south of New Albany and only 18 minutes away. Ecru has a wider mix of residential home styles and you may be able to find an apartment you like for rent.
Tupelo: is a big city, north of New Albany and just 20 minutes away. It offers a lovely neighborhood of homes, modern shopping and a thriving downtown area. This area is a very pleasant home site; it may be possible to find condo rentals in this neighborhood.
Living in New Albany
New Albany is convenient to Memphis, Starkville, and Columbus. Its transportation system is efficient, making commuting to multiple destinations, work or leisure a piece of cake. The main street area is charming, and there are pleasant subdivisions amid hilly, pastoral terrain to give that unspoiled feel of living with nature. The city is also a strong economic force with modern factories, vibrant shopping centers, desirable residential neighborhoods and a historic downtown to brag about.
