Pauwela: The western side of town has a little bit more to offer in the way of food and shops and things. There are still plenty of homes for rent here, whether you're looking for tiny beach bungalows or more sturdy places inland, and you can check out some of the local food favorites, like Mama's Fish House or Caf Des Amis, right on the waterfront.

Pristine beaches, vibrant sunsets, perfect 70-degree weather every day of the year, rainbows falling from the sky there's nothing not to love about this place. Added bonus - you're also right by the Kahului Airport, where you can pop over to the other islands or to the mainland if you wish.
